About Me

Hi y’all!!

So happy you’re here! A bit about me, I am quirky and a kind people kind of person! I love to bake and cook and sing and play guitar! I’ve run a few half marathons and 2 full marathons. A girl needs some sort of therapy, am I right? But I also have the best running girlfriends that convinced me of this life I now live.

I’m a sing-in-the-shower, belt-in-the-car-with-my-kids-rocking-out-in-back kind of girl. You might even catch me dancing and singing on my morning runs.

If I could live off cookie dough, turkey and cheese sandwiches, ice cream and cheeseburgers for the rest of my life, I’d be a happy camper.

I met my husband while going to school in Salt Lake City, Utah shortly after returning from a full time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Fortaleza Brazil (Fala Portugues? Vamos ser amigos!!). He is my best friend and biggest support. Shortly after getting married and starting our family, we moved to Austin, Texas somewhat close to where I also went to High School. Texas forever! We’ve been so lucky to have been blessed with THREE beautiful children and two labradoodles. They keep us on our toes and are our whole world.

I have had a love for art for as long as I can remember. I’ve had countless sketch books and art pieces throughout the years. It’s been something I’ve kept close and personal for a long time. But in early 2020 as the whole world was changing, I felt it was time to use my love for art for something more. It all started with a house portrait of our first home for a Father’s Day gift for my husband. Never in a million years did I think I could be here doing what I love and sharing it with all of you! Even more so, I never thought I’d be painting canvases of the land that I love with a colorful vision and part of my soul. Thus, The Americana Collective was born. I feel truly blessed.

If I do anything in my life, I want to show my kids that they have everything within them and through Christ to reach the highest star. Part of that is here. This is my dream, but also a big part of me. I hope to bring light, love and peace into your homes even in the smallest of ways. I hope to help bring you a little closer to our Heavenly Father and to our Savior Jesus Christ through my art and the scenes of the beautiful world around us. Thank you a million for any and all of your support. I’m forever grateful. Don’t forget how amazing you are. God made you after all.
